Flower Arrangements

It has been a wonderous journey in my art adventures.  As a self-taught artist, it was a shock when I was awarded the New Artist Award by the Winthrop Art Association.  The following year, I was awarded First Place in watercolors.  The year after that, the WAA awarded me Second Place for my acrylics entry.  Since my early start, I have been privileged to show and sell my paintings at the Sea Bell Gallery in Ogunquit, Maine.  Now in New Hampshire, I am again honored and privileged to display my paintings at Squam Lakes Artisans.  I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of those amazing mentors and fans of my work.

• I always knew I had passion, but I didn't know of any hidden talents I could explore.  I can't sing a lick, don't have patience to learn how to play a musical instrument, and novel writing seemed to intense.  Then I had the brilliant idea.  I can become a painter!  I loved water colors so I thought that would be a good place to begin.  Sure, start with the most difficult medium, but I did and I loved it.  Years later I was introduced to acrylics and oils.  I traveled quite a bit and took thousands of pictures which ended up as paintings.  Now I have been exposed to abstract art and fluid pouring.  Aah, what the eye may not be able to replicate on canvas, the imagination certainly does.
